1. What we collect
Your email address, for sign-in and delivery. The business information you give us — name, website, description, location, audience, and interests. Your delivery preferences (Daily or Weekly, day, time). And your interactions with what we send — which discoveries you open, save, or rate 👍/👎, since that’s how Briefly gets more relevant to your business over time.
2. How we use it
To research the public internet on your business’s behalf, score and select what’s worth telling you, send you your briefing, and refine what we look for next based on your feedback. We don’t sell your data.
3. Who else touches your data
We rely on a small number of service providers to run Briefly: Neon for authentication and our database, Resend for delivering email, OpenAI for generating and scoring discoveries, and Serper and Crawl4AI for web search and reading. Each only sees what it needs to do its part.
4. Data retention
We keep your business profile and discovery history for as long as your account is active, so Briefly's research can keep getting sharper. Delete your account and we delete this data, other than what we're required to retain for legal or accounting reasons.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from Settings, or by contacting us. If you’re in the EU/EEA or UK, this includes the rights guaranteed under GDPR/UK GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
6. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a small preference cookie for your chosen interface language. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Briefly isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the date above when we do.
